In the grove ….
The villa in Spain I use has a fantastic secluded olive grove just down the hill in front of the property that provides much needed shade for shooting in the day as well as a fantastic backdrop from which to shoot . I love the location and this as helped make for some fantastic shoots and plays in with my love for natural lighting
Tillie and I had worked in the location before so we spoke the evening before about ideas and she said she had a lacy / crocheted top that would go with some patterned bikini bottoms that would add to the location colours and tones . During the shoot we tried to pose her in shaded areas to even out the harshness of the daylight and shot in a backlight style for the most part .
and some closer crops with epic backlit hair
As the shoot continued , and we loved the light we found ourselves in Tillie started posing on rock to add textures and shapes to the images.
and then to nude …. which adds a whole new set of rules , but basically all around making the model feel safe and comfortable working with you. This is where trust, communication from both sides are important . From my side as the photographer its all about making sure that even tho its nude its still classy as that’s super important with the final look , remembering less is often more .
Then ended the shoot on our walk back to the villa with a change of direction and feel to the shoot
So that’s a shoot from start to finish.
Hope you enjoy the images
