Shooting in Spain

I have been so lucky during my time as a photographer to have been able to travel to shoot with models in sunny Spain. Working abroad on these trips has allowed me time to clear my head of day to day rubbish and really get into my shoots and find that everything seams so much easier as a result . One of my favourite ideas to shoot whilst abroad came to me whilst having a beer at the end of a busy day watching the sun set over the mountains just be fore we headed out for dinner that evening ……the next evening I put my idea into motion .

Waiting until the sun was just about to set over the mountains I thought it would be a cool time to shoot some arty nude , because the light is amazing at this time , you get perfect shadows across the models body and highlights such as on her skin, hair and even through the leaves on the trees look ace. Only using a reflector it was super hard to balance the highlight from the sun but I think its worked out just about ok , I even like the little lens flare :D

Hope you enjoy them , next time I go to Spain ill take some lighting with me to help balance out the sky , even tho the sun was setting over the mountain it was still quite harsh as it was two hours or so before the sun set properly over the natural horizon. But from a thought over a beer to epic photos the next the plan worked out perfectly
